Introduction to Home Personal Care

Home personal care service is provided by trned caregivers for the elderly and individuals who require assistance with dly tasks or support for their primary caregivers. Our comprehensive services are designed to enhance comfort, indepence, and safety at home.

Services Provided

Our team offers a wide range of personalized in-home care options including:

• Elder-sitting and respite care

• Instrumental Activities of Dly Living IADL assistance

• Light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and dusting

• Medication management

• Simple exercise guidance

• A variety of stimulating activities to keep the mind engaged

We provide customized plans designed by registered physiotherapists, occupational therapists, or speech therapists under the Allied Health Professions Act.

Activities include:

1. Basic self-care tasks like bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility assistance, and transferring.

2. Mind-stimulating activities that promote cognitive health and engagement.

Cost of Service

Our service begins at $25 per hour before means-tested subsidies are applied. If you need financial support to cover the costs, please contact our providers or consult with a Medical Social Worker in your hospital or polyclinic for assistance.

Household Services Scheme

The Household Services Scheme HSS is designed to help families by offering part-time domestic services such as house cleaning, grocery shopping, car washing, and pet sitting through hired migrant workers.

From March 2023, the government has expanded this pilot program allowing selected HSS companies to offer basic elder-minding services alongside other domestic tasks.

• The scheme is meant for households needing occasional help with chores.

• For dedicated eldercare or intensive support, mnstream home care services provided by MOH Ministry of Health are recommed.

When engaging in elder-minding services, it's essential to verify the worker's qualifications and assess their suitability for your needs.
